Greg's pedagogy combines his years of experience and training in multiple disciplines as well as his time on the other side of the table working for Francine Maisler Casting on films such as Birdman, 50 Shades of Grey, Neighbors, Unbroken, and Aloha.
Greg encourages his students to expand their instrument in order to explore all of their available choices while remaining solidly grounded in the text. He believes in working quickly, efficiently, and practically to get to the heart of the script and character.
Learn the basics of expressive action, creating a character, and physical storytelling. Explore how to improvise within structure to quickly find new, creative, and bold choices with text.
In this class, we focus less on why a character expresses themselves and more on how a character expresses themselves. Have you ever asked yourself the question "What do I do with my hands?". This class is for you.
Perfect for beginning actors at the start of their journey or intermediate actors looking for a more physical based acting technique. 12 Week Commitment.
A cold read/audition style class.
Work through short scenes and sides quickly to identify character, structure, and the clues within the text.
Scenes will be assigned or bring your own that you would like to work on.
This class requires a minimum one-month commitment but can be dropped in and out of and will be ongoing.
Perfect for intermediate actors. Taking the “Building a Character” class first is highly recommended. Students who have not taken the course first will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the instructor.
