Briana Kennedy began dancing at age three and added acting to her creative world at age seven.
Professionally, she began dancing with the Joffrey Ballet at six, and moved onto theater in Minneapolis at age seven. She graced the stages of The Guthrie Theater, The Children's Theater, Park Square Theater, The Great American History Theater and several more in the Twin Cities during her childhood and teenage years.In addition she worked as a television reporter on Kare 11's Emmy Award winning Whatever Show from ages fourteen through eighteen. Interviewing Michael Jordan, NSYNC, TLC, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Backstreet Boys, Stedman Graham, Lil Zane, Claire Danes, and many more.
In 2002 Briana attended the University of Minnesota studying film theory and became a Jazz and Hip Hop dance teacher adjacent to her studies. She created, choreographed and performed in Collective Rhapsody, a dance extravaganza performed at the University to standing room only audiences, that is still regarded as one of the largest attended student produced productions in the University of Minnesota's history.
By 2005 Briana had relocated to Las Vegas Nevada, transferring to UNLV. There she obtained a BFA in Filmmaking. Briana began a career as a professional voice actor in Las Vegas as well.
Still expanding creatively Briana relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue film and television work as an actor.
With much grace and grit she has been fortunate enough, over the past decade, to have appeared in: CBS's Stalker, TNT's Animal Kingdom, ABC's Ten Days In The Valley, Amazon's Goliath, CBS's SWAT, Nickelodeon's Henry Danger. In addition to professional commercial and voice-over work.
She can currently be seen as recurring character Officer Lacy, on Nickelodeon's Danger Force, D
etective Villanueva in the Tribeca Film Festival Best Feature winner: Good Girl Jane, Block Trilogies and starring in a 2022 MGM commercial.
Today she continues to act in film and television, in addition to several voice-over commercials and Audible audiobook narrations as well.
Briana is thrilled to add teaching to her long and varied creative career. With much experience, a supportive and compassionate spirit and a love of all things creative, she looks so forward to helping other creatives expand and fly in their love of acting.
