Greg holds an MFA in Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a BFA in acting from Otterbein University. He trained with Master Teachers in Stanislavski and Chekhov at the Moscow Art Theatre, studied Meisner Technique and repetition at MeisnerLA in Los Angeles, and spent three years in residency studying under Michael Lugering in the Expressive Actor method.
He worked as an acting instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and as a private coach for undergraduate theatre program auditions, URTA auditions, and film auditions. Greg also specializes in Shakespeare and helping actors find easy, actionable, relatable, and physical ways into Shakespearean verse.
Greg's pedagogy combines his years of experience and training in multiple disciplines as well as his time on the other side of the table working for Francine Maisler Casting on films such as Birdman, 50 Shades of Grey, Neighbors, Unbroken, and Aloha.
Greg encourages his students to expand their instrument in order to explore all of their available choices while remaining solidly grounded in the text. He believes in working quickly, efficiently, and practically to get to the heart of the script and character.

The course is designed to teach the basics of acting technique for both stage and screen and provide the foundation to begin moving into Intermediate or specialized classes after completion.
Fundamentals 1 - Learn the fundamentals of acting technique and terminology through games, exercises, and improvisation. This class will focus on concentration and attention, imagination, physical storytelling, and the fundamentals of action for stage and screen. Perfect for beginning actors at the start of their journey, intermediate actors who want a refresh on the basics, or anyone interested in increasing their confidence, communication skills, or want to try something new!

Fundamentals 2 - A continuation of Fundamentals 1. We will apply the basic skills and terminology acquired in Fundamentals 1 to scripts. Learn the basics of script analysis, creating a character, and applying the fundamentals of playing an action to scene work and monologues. Perfect for beginning actors at the start of their journey, intermediate actors who want a refresh on the basics, or anyone interested in increasing their confidence, communication skills, or want to try something new! Must have completed Fundamentals 1 or have approval from the instructor.
