Improvisation

Every actor should have a firm grasp of improv, and every serious actor should take Buddy’s improv classes. Beyond solid improv and performance skills (like affirmation, physicality, “who/what/where”, and how to find and play the “game” of a scene), he will teach you confidence. Confidence in creating a character. Confidence in working with other actors on a stage or set. Confidence in using space, finding rhythm to a scene, and knowing how to let go of rigidity, fear, and your own limitations. Buddy digs down deep. He’s just the best in town. 

In my over thirty years of involvement in the broad improv community, I find that Buddy McQueen is on my short list of the most passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable improvisation teachers out there. His genuine love of the craft is palatable from the get. He can break it down for beginners, including kids, as well as deepen the art for advanced students with deft leadership.
